Prof. Dr. András Kovács (Budapest/Vienna)

András Kovács, sociologist, is Professor at the Nationalism Studies Program and Academic Director of Jewish Studies at the Central European University in Budapest/Vienna. He has held teaching and research positions at numerous universities and research institutions, including the Zentrum für Antisemitismusforschung, TU Berlin; the Moses Mendelssohn Zentrum für Jüdische Studien, Potsdam; the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and the Institute of Contemporary History at the University of Vienna, Austria. His publications include »Religiosity, Religious Practice, and Antisemitism in Present-Day Hungary«, in: Religions (2019); Communism’s Jewish Question. Jewish Issues in Communist Archives (2017) and The Holocaust in Hungary. Seventy Years Later (2016).
