Prof. Dr. Joachim von Puttkamer (Jena)

Joachim von Puttkamer has served as the Director of the Imre Kertész Kolleg Jena since 2010. He currently holds the Chair of Eastern European History at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. From 1994 to 2002, he was Assistant Professor of Modern and Eastern European History at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg. His publications include East Central Europe in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries (2010) and the monograph series Eastern Europe in the Twentieth Century (Routledge). He is co-editor of the four volumes of The Routledge History Handbook of Central and Eastern Europe in the Twentieth Century (2020/21).
