Dr. Katharina Rauschenberger (Frankfurt am Main)

Katharina Rauschenberger has been a Research Associate at the Fritz Bauer Institute since 2008. Until 2016, she was responsible for program coordination between the Fritz Bauer Institute and the Jewish Museum Frankfurt. At the Fritz Bauer Institute, she is responsible for the development, conception, and coordination of events. She is editor of Einsicht. Bulletin des Fritz Bauer Instituts. Her current research project »Friedrich Karl Kaul and the Role of the GDR in West German War Crimes Trials« relates Kaul’s biographical stages to the historical upheavals of the 20th century in Germany. Her article »Friedrich Karl Kaul. A GDR lawyer in West German ›euthanasia‹ trials« is forthcoming in From Euthanasia to the Holocaust. Parallelism or Causality?, edited by Jörg Osterloh and Jan-Erik Schulte (2021).
