Prof. Dr. Michael Kraus (Middlebury/Vermont)
Michael Kraus is Frederick C. Dirks Professor of Political Science at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont, USA. His research interests concern transitional justice, the politics of memory, the Cold War and democratization. His publications include Irreconcilable Differences? Explaining Czechoslovakia's Dissolution and Russia and Eastern Europe After Communism (2000), as well as book chapters and articles in Current History, Journal of Cold War Studies, Journal of Democracy, Foreign Policy and Politique Internationale, among others. In 2017/18, he was the Ben and Zelda Cohen Fellow at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC.
