Dr. Simon Perego (Paris)

Simon Perego is Associate Professor of Contemporary History in the Department of Hebrew and Jewish Studies at the Institut National des Langues et Cultures Orientales in Paris, France. Previously, he held a postdoctoral position in the research programme »Writing a New History of Europe« at Sorbonne University, Paris. He most recently published Pleurons-les: Les Juifs de Paris et la commémoration de la Shoah, 1944–1967 (2020), based on his doctoral thesis. He is currently working on testimonial practices among Yiddish-speaking Jews after the Holocaust.
